About LearnOnLine
LearnOnLine, Inc., a California
Corporation based in Camarillo, California, was founded in 2002 for the
purpose of advancing Distance Learning by using the Internet and World Wide Web
as a vehicle for communication and collaboration among students and teachers to
enhance their classroom educational experience and to promote "anytime,
anywhere" learning.
With the emphasis on renewable
energy as a means for teaching STEM (science, technology, engineering and math)
subjects, our REEL Power
tm products provide a holistic
approach to learning about these emerging 21st Century technologies.
Our Mission - Changing The Way We Learn
tm
Students who are interested in
technology and teachers who guide them towards their interest must
realize that higher education and eventual careers in technology depend on both
prior knowledge of STEM fundamentals as well as the means to interact with them.
Proficiency in Science, Technology, Engineering
and Mathematics (STEM ) is a natural pre-requisite for those students moving on
to design and implement the nation's Renewable Energy programs and strengthen
America's ability to be competitive in the expanding global economy.
This is why we have adopted learning
about technology in the Digital/Internet age as our primary mission. In
college and industry everyone uses a computer for their work, which is why all of our products are oriented around this
ubiquitous electronic device.
More importantly, lack of understanding about how to use the
computer as a high-tech measurement tool, rather than an electronic appliance, will
leave enterprising students behind the curve after graduation.
The United States needs qualified
scientists and engineers (from both genders) and their training must begin as
early as possible in grade school. And their training must be relevant to the
rigorous demands of higher education and industry.
In support of our mission to bring
students and teachers into the Digital/Internet age, our current and future
products use all the computing tools at hand to prepare students for a
satisfying, fulfilling entre' into college and industry.
In addition to the standard
computer, our future products will include the use of cell phones, iPhones and
iPods for mobile
data collection and wireless links to the Internet as well as more use of the Internet
itself for student-to-student
collaborations across the country and the world; in effect, creating the true application of Distance
Learning.
Distance Learning is more than just
taking classes over the Internet. It is really about breaking the mold of
the isolated classroom and bringing "anytime, anywhere" learning to today's
students regardless of their economic, geographic or social background. Now
everyone with Internet access can be connected to one another to share ideas and
learn from one another.
With the advances in Internet and
Web communication along with cyber-social networking and smaller, more powerful
personal computing devices, all the tools are finally available to...LearnOnLine.
As 21st Century students and educators, we invite
you to join us in fulfilling our mission - to change the way we learn.
